Channel 13 (Brookline's local access cable channel).
Purpose: The CIC meets seasonally to review capital project requests from town departments, committees, and organizations. The committee revises and updates the annual Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), providing a 6-year outlook for capital projects. The CIP is presented to the Planning Board for their approval and adoption. This information is used by the Finance Committee and the Board of Selectmen in preparing the follow-on year's annual budget, among other uses.

Background: The COI Committee was established at the 2004 Brookline Town Meeting "to be comprised of no less than five (5) voters all to be appointed by the Moderator and further that the Committee shall furnish a report by December 31, 2004 to the Board of Selectmen who shall include the report, or a reasonable summary of the same, in the Annual Town Report for year 2004 and further provided that if said Committee as part of its report process proposes a Conflict of Interest Ordinance for the Town, then said proposed ordinance shall also be published in the Annual Report for the year 2004 for consideration at Town Meeting 2005.

You can register to vote at Town Hall during normal Town Clerk office hours up until Sep. 2 (for the Primary). No one can change their party on the day of the election, unless they come in to the polls as an Undeclared voter, voted, then want to change back to Undeclared.]

Voter Registration
Absentee Ballots can be requested as soon as someone knows they will not be in town for any upcoming elections. Come into the Town Clerk office at Town Hall and request an Absentee Ballot. The voter checklist will be compared to make sure the voter is a registered voter.
When the Absentee ballots arrive the Town Clerk's office will make ballot packets and mail the absentee ballots to the customer immediately with an envelope for the sealed ballots to be brought back or mailed to the office.
The night before all elections the office will be open til 5pm for any outstanding absentee ballots to be dropped off.
