New Hampshire Trails Day
New Hampshire Trails Day is an annual effort, sponsored by many volunteer organizations and businesses statewide, to involve as many volunteers as possible in the improvement of NH recreational trails.
Take the opportunity to nurture Brookline's precious places through constructing and sprucing up trails at the Bartell Property. Volunteers are needed to join naturalist Ken Turkington at the entrance to the Bartell Trail on the West side of Route 13, just south of Eddy Avenue, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 16. All ages and levels of experience are welcome to participate. Long pants and long-sleeved shirts are suggested to protect against bramble/branch scratching and insect bites, as well as work or hiking boots and gloves to protect feet and hands.
Bring a lunch, plenty of water, insect repellent and hand tools, especially pruners.
For more information, contact Valérie Maurer, Secretary, at the Town Hall, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, 607-8855 ext. 215.
