Brookline Fire Department is
a call department consisting of 31 members. Of these 31, 12 members are authorized to issue brush/burn
permits outside of normal fire department business hours. Our members have full-time jobs and
fortunately for our town they choose to give up valuable family time to respond
to calls, train and fundraise to assist in easing the tax burden on the
residents. There is no fee for this
service. We are sorry for any
inconvenience this may cause, but burning is a privilege not a priority.
