The Brookline Fire Department is holding its annual Open House and Duck Race on Saturday, October 1st at the fire station at 4 Bond St,
Brookline, NH. The open house starts at 11:00 with firefighting and fire prevention displays, antique fire truck rides as well as free cookies, popcorn
and cider. Smoky the bear will be making an appearance as well as a fire prevention trailer that teaches kids all about fire safety and what to do if
there is a fire in your house.
Post time for the Duck Race is 1:00pm. Come buy a Duck Ticket for $5.00 each or a book of 5 for $20.00 then cheer for your duck as it floats toward the
finish line. There are many prizes including $500 for the first place duck.
At 5:00pm join us for a roast beef dinner (take out is available) followed by a comedy show featuring three comedians from the Boston area. (Sorry, no
kids!). This will be held at the Brookline Event Center, 32 Proctor Hill Rd (Rte 130 near the Hollis line). Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door
