BROOKLINE, NH – Brookline
Community ChurchÕs Outreach Committee members will introduce to the congregation
and Sunday School students on Sunday, October 17, 2010 their goal to help end
hunger for families in the United States and around the world.
The committee will kick off a fundraising initiative to support Heifer International, a nonprofit organization that provides living gifts of area-appropriate livestock and training to families in need in more than 50 countries, including the United States, so they may become self reliant.
With the support of the Church
community and local residents, the committee has set a goal to purchase an
ÒArkÓ of large and small animals ranging from cows, sheep, pigs and rabbits to
chicks, flocks of geese and beehives. Committee members plan to collect
donations at the Church once a month and provide congregation members with
updates on their progress.
