Written Permit required for outdoor
Burning!!
Now that the snow has
melted the Brookline Fire Department is into the Summer Burning rules and
regulations.
1. A written permit must be obtained for all outdoor
burning.
2. You will be allowed to burn from 5pm- 12 midnight
with a written permit so long as the class of the day permits it.
3. If it is raining before 5pm you may burn before 5pm
with a written permit.
4. Cooking Fires must be a minimum distance of 25Õ
from any structure.
5. Brush burning must be a minimum of 50Õ from any
structure.
6. You must be able to extinguish all outdoor burning
with water. Do not bury your fire.
7. Permits may be obtained at the Brookline Fire
Department on Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm
At
the Town Hall Monday through Friday from 7am-2pm
Or
from one of the members listed on the cable channel or Web site.
8. You cannot burn anything over 5 inches in diameter.
9. Residents wishing to obtain there first Seasonal
Burn Permit may contact Chief Corey at 673-4058 to arrange for an inspection of
your Seasonal Burn Area.
10. Residents renewing there Seasonal Burn Permits may
do so at the Brookline Fire Station Monday – Friday 8am-4pm please call
before coming.
