AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN (AAUW),

Southern NH Branch,

This is a national and international organization that promotes equity for women through advocacy, research and education.  Each year they sponsor a $1500 scholarship for a local high school girl.  In addition to branch-wide activities, which include social events and fundraisers to support our scholarship, they offer smaller interest groups that include a book discussion group that meets every other month, a gourmet dinner group (spouses included) that meets four times a year and a daytimers group that ventures out to local attractions four times a year.  The membership is open to women of all ages from Amherst and surrounding towns that hold a degree or associate degree from an accredited college or university.

American Legion

The Brookline American Legion Post 74 meets every forth Thursday of the month at the Legion Hall, 38 Main Street, Brookline,NH. All eligible Veterans are welcome to join. The Brookline Barn Pals


4-H Equestrian Club for youth between the ages of 5 to 18.

Formed in January of 2008. Sponsored by the UNH Co-op Extension. Leaders Carla Beard and Eva Bent. Club members gain knowledge of horsemanship skills needed to work around and ride horses. Friendship Through Community Service.

The Brookline Women’s Club (BWC) is dedicated to community service work, the promotion of fellowship among women, and the enhancement of the social and intellectual life of its members.

Won’t you please consider volunteering in our community by becoming a member of the Brookline Women’s Club? Your time, one evening a month, can make a difference.

The club sponsors annual events such as Breakfast with Santa, Easter Egg Hunt, Blueberry Bash, snack bar for the Town Hall Meeting and both the Thanksgiving Food Drive and Holiday Gift Collection for SHARE, just to name a few. Proceeds from the fundraisers go directly back to the town and local communities.

Membership is open to any woman who is interested in the promotion of fellowship among women through community service and social activities. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month from September thru June at 7:30 p.m. at Brusch Hall on Main Street (located at the rear of the Brookline Chapel). Annual membership dues are $20 and $10 for seniors.
